Well, we are looking at a Mac because it has certain capabilities that, we believe, are far superior than the PC world. And it is those capabilities that will be of heavy use in the business. It would be interesting if you could custom build a Mac as easy as a PC though.

And, I am definitely biased towards Intel processors over AMD.</description>

But why are you only considering branded computers? They are way too expensive. I suppose your spouse is not going to do scientifc calculations or 3D animation? You can buy her a new computer (AMD Sempron 3600+, 512 MB RAM, 120-160 GB HDD) for under $300. Plus a TFT monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse. That&#039;s $600 or so. Want more memory? Add another $80.

Or would you like a laptop? A $500-$600 Acer is OK.</description>
