I think the Aeron, Mirra (and other Miller chairs) would be too stiff for someone with sciatic issues. My lengthy intensive search led me to buy my new chair from Relax the Back. It was $1,300 (for the floor model) - and worth every penny. I have had lower back, hip, sciatic and neck pain issues. I'm a designer/coder spending at least 10 hours a day every day in this chair. I chose the Lifeform Ultimate Mid-Back in the Dream Weave fabric. It has memory foam that is beyond comfortable. Plenty of adjustments that are easy to maneuver. They also have an extended seat option to give your hips extra room.

I sat in the Miller chairs they had there - and there was no comparison. After a couple of days in it, my lower back pain stopped waking me up at night. It's been 2 months and all painful areas are improved. I only wonder what took so long.

You're welcome! Your tip about the MacBook Pro disc cleaner saved me $$ today. BTW - I meant I wonder what took *me* so long to finally spend the money on what is a vital piece of furniture in my home. Good luck finding the right one!
